cure for angst is dictatorship

now prof. h, since i've matured jan 08 2004 - 2.45 pm

i picked up 4 out of 6 recommedation letters. i'm planning on taking a flashlight to the sealed envelopes at home asap.

my first stop was prof. hottie's office (i really should stop calling him that...prof. h? is that acceptable?) where he was so cute and nervous about doing everything correctly..."i'm not a native english speaker so i had to consult with someone to see if they were alright..." hmm, let me read them and i'll tell you if it's alright. ok? ok. no, i had him stick 'em in the envelopes and seal and sign across the back LIKE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO because heaven forbid a student actually KNOW what a professor is saying about them!

then he said "now that that formal part is done..." and he kicked back and we talked for a good half hour! it was soooo cooooool. *gush* i feel a lot more sane around him - i was much better at coming out with complete, well-structured sentences (it used to be "duuuhhhh......" most of the time) and i only stared at his hands a tiny bit. he cuts his nails very short, but that's probably because he would bite them otherwise. i'm about 80% sure he used to smoke, but he likely gave it up years and years ago. hence the probably nailbiting. my face still turned pretty red, but i think that started when he noticed i had dyed my hair. and then it didn't go away.

the best part of our little chit chat? i found out his grandfather was a nazi.

awwwwww yeah, it all comes out in da wash, yo. i knew there was something kicking around in his cute little psyche and i gots to it. we didn't really rap much about it - i had actually gotten onto the subject line discussing a book i have been reading - an old course text - and the way repression caused so many people to simply "get rid of" historically worthy (but personal) documents, such as letters, photos, etc. and he discussed the example of his grandparents and voila. "he was a nazi." punkt.

we're like buds now. we're this [--] close to going for a beer, or hanging out at an art gallery, or walking through the park and reminiscing. sorry, i got carried away there.

i have to go work another street to see if there are jobs available...i'm looking at kinko's and starfux today. woooo. i keep on reaching for the stars, you know.
