background: during this time, i am nearly 13 years old, living in jakarta, indonesia. i am in love with 26 year old mary m., a cast member of a community play i was in as part of the "jakarta players". i contemplated suicide because she was gravely ill. at this point, we have taken to phone conversations, and the first day, april 26, we get together for a day at the mall (in my mind, construed as a date - but fully aware that i'm the only one thinking this)
