"blind date" amazes me.

maybe it's because i was never part of the dating scene, much less the heterosexual dating scene, but i just don't understand how and why these people act the way they do!

take, for instance, the female of today's date. she actually said something to the extent of "ugly guys try to ask me out, and i'm like, i'm not being conceited or anything, but i'm like, who do you think you are? i mean, get real." and she got upset when her date playfully tipped the boat they were paddling, getting both of them wet, when she had specifically instructed him that she did NOT want to get wet.

well with an attitude like that, no-one's going to get wet, missy.

and she was huffy for the rest of the date. but the guy persisted! he was actually pathetic enough to say "so, is there anything between us then?" oh.my.god.

it seems like every time i watch the dates where the chick acts like a bitch, or is just incredibly stupid, the man will say in his closing remarks "yeah, i'd like to see her again." even if she treated him like shit. what the HELL is up with that?

but i am so proud of my sex, because when they get treated like shit, or the guy is incredibly stupid, they say "i never want to see him again for as long as i live."

c'mon, guys. smarten up a little and stop thinking with your dicks! i mean, sure, sex is great, but is it really THAT great? great enough to sit through *hours* of some airhead making so-called "profound" statements like "i think science is really important" or "i put a lot of effort and energy into the way i look and getting ready today (*she was wearing a bikini top and cutoffs for crying out loud!!*), and you just ruined that. you were inconsiderate." (the hydrophobic bitch) or mistreatment?

i find it really incredible, and i wonder where the hell these people come from. well, i suppose they do get the cream of the crop of narcissistic airheads down in L.A.

i'm really looking forward to what happens as this generation of dolts ages. will they mature? will they succeed in life? will they find a partner as boneheaded as themselves?

i guess we have that to look forward to when the Blind Date 2020 season gets underway!

ps - there is a big red dog across the street. well, some poor sap in a big red dog suit. it's about -15C or more with the wind. but "animal kingdom for kids" is having a customer appreciation night! aahhh, i love the weird family stores of little italy. it's owned by the wife of my landlord, whose laundrette i live above. i always wonder if it's him who is roped into being the big red dog.

oh man. the big red dog wants to go in. this is kinda sad.

i hope they let joe in. or else who will i ask 3,000 times to fix my back door that's been broken for a year?
