just a quick note, to let you know what the hostage takers want.

a person found a person who links to a person, and in her emotional response to finding that first person, might feel it is her "civic" or "moral duty" to expose THIS person to THIS person's girlfriend. so the diary must be locked for a little while, and references to the first person must be dealt with. however, i am going to see fred this afternoon and ask his advice on how to handle the situation...should i lay low? should i spill said beans? should i bend truth with x-ray vision? so many options, so much potential for disaster and months of dirty looks.

i really don't want to give up this diary, and i don't want to give up the freedom of it. so i'm checking my options.
